How to get there?
When you get to Nainital or Kaladungi, proceed
to Barapathar. A turn at Barapathar leads you
to Pangot via Snow View Point & Kilbury. After
reaching Pangot, the approach to the lodge is
a short downhill walk (5 minutes) through the
terraced fields. The luggage is transferred by
our staff while you are exprected to carry your
own daypack, handbag, camera bag etc.
From Delhi
By Road
Drive from Delhi via Kathgodam and Nainital: 8½
hours A marked road map is available on request.
Drive from Delhi via Ramnagar (Corbett National
Park) and Kaladhungi: 7½ hours
By Train
Overnight air-conditioned train from Old Delhi
railway station (departing at 2245 hr.) to Kathgodam
(arriving at 0615 hr.) and then 2 hr. drive to
Pangot via Nainital. Pick-up/ drop at Kathgodam
RS can be arranged.
Overnight non air-conditioned train from Old Delhi
railway station (departing at 2245 hr.) to Ramnagar,
Corbett National Park (arriving at 0500 hr.) and
then 2½ hr. drive to Pangot via Kaladungi.
What to Carry?
Personal medical requirements and insect repellent.
Travelling light is a good idea, one duffel bag
and a day pack per person

What to wear?
Jungle Colours such as beige, brown, khaki and
olive green which are least disturbing to the
environment and therefore most appropriate comfortable
safari clothes and shoes made for easy walking
are recommended.
Light woollens are suggested for the summer months.
Rain gear is essential for the monsoons.
How is the weather?
Winter - October to March
The days are nice and crisp, but the nights get
cold. Great season for bird watching and mountain
views.
Summer - April to June
Cool days with pleasant nights. Good birding.
Monsoon - July to September
Cold days and nights. Good for resident birds.
